The God Allusion

The God Allusion is a short book I wrote in 2008 in response to Richard Dawkins’ bestseller The God DelusionMany of the ideas are still very important to me although I don’t really express them in quite the way they are expressed here. An interesting sometimes frustrating feature of mythological thinking is that all its components run into and overlap with each other so that a discussion of it really depends on where in the inter-relating web of ideas you choose to enter and how you navigate. Suffice it to say this was my first attempt at summing up a lot of its meanings but the subject is really infinitely expanding so that a final word is really not possible.

Below you will find the full text of the latest version of the book, plus a summarised aphoristic version of the main ideas.
